Cyptocoryne Wendtii 'Green Gecko' Tissue Culture
Cryptocoryne ‘Green Gecko’ Tissue Culture
Cryptocoryne ‘Green Gecko’ is a striking Cryptocoryne variety known for its bright green leaves contrasted by warm reddish-brown to pink tones around the centre and leaf stems. Its compact growth and unique colouration make it an excellent choice for adding detail to the foreground or midground of a planted aquarium.
Like most Cryptocoryne, Green Gecko is relatively undemanding once established and is particularly well suited to nutrient-rich substrates. CO₂ is not essential, although supplementation can encourage stronger and faster growth.
This tissue culture contains healthy young plantlets grown in a sterile environment, meaning they are free from snails, algae and unwanted pests. Simply rinse away the culture media, separate the individual plantlets and plant directly into the substrate.
Cryptocoryne may experience some leaf melt when first introduced to a new aquarium. This is completely normal, with fresh submerged growth developing as the plant adapts to its new conditions.
