Eleocharis ‘Belem’ Dwarf Hairgrass Tissue Culture

Eleocharis ‘Belem’ is a beautiful dwarf hairgrass prized for its extremely fine, compact growth and ability to create a soft, natural-looking carpet across the foreground of an aquascape.

Compared with many other hairgrass varieties, ‘Belem’ stays relatively short and develops a distinctive slightly curved growth habit, giving established carpets a flowing, natural appearance. Once settled, it spreads through runners to gradually fill the surrounding substrate.

This tissue culture contains healthy young plantlets grown in a sterile environment, meaning they are free from snails, algae and unwanted pests. For best results, rinse away the culture media, separate into small portions and plant them a few centimetres apart.

CO₂ injection and good lighting are highly recommended for achieving the dense, compact carpet this plant is known for.
