Hygrophila corymbosa ‘Compact’ is a compact, bushy variety of the popular Hygrophila corymbosa, featuring broad leaves and attractive green to bronze coloration. Unlike its much taller relatives, ‘Compact’ maintains a shorter growth habit, making it an excellent choice for the midground of planted aquariums.

This hardy and adaptable plant is beginner friendly and can be grown successfully without injected CO₂. Under stronger lighting and with good nutrition, new growth can develop beautiful bronze, reddish and pink tones, while CO₂ encourages faster, denser growth.

Regular trimming promotes side shoots and helps create a thick, compact bush, making it particularly useful for adding broad-leaved texture amongst finer stem plants.
