Glossostigma Elatinoides
Glossostigma elatinoides
Glossostigma elatinoides, commonly known as Glosso, is a classic carpeting plant prized for its small, vibrant green leaves and low-growing habit. When provided with good lighting and CO₂, it rapidly sends out runners across the substrate, forming a lush, dense green carpet.
Native to Australia and New Zealand, Glosso is an excellent choice for Iwagumi and nature-style aquascapes, where its tiny leaves create a beautiful sense of scale around rocks and hardscape.
While Glosso can be grown without injected CO₂, CO₂ is highly recommended for achieving its signature compact, horizontal growth. Under ideal conditions, it is a fast grower and spreads readily, making propagation extremely easy.
